Best place to buy birkenstocks in germany

Word on the street is that Schuh Seibel just m to the south of Viktualienmarkt is the place to go. Biggest range in Munich or somat like that. Try Felzmann Bequem-Schuh, at Petersplatz, around the side of Hugendubel at Marienplatz. Siebel has loads too and is in the Reichenbachstr.
I forgot where it was but had Gelbe Seiten open to check the name of Felzmann. Posted 13 May They've been popular here since the 's, a bit before the hippies and web designers caught on to them.
PS, sorry, can't help with shop search, we just buy them in normal shoe shops, although you have to go to several if you want to see the whole range. So, seeing as I wouldn't know Birkenstock sandals if they came up and bit me on the arse, do any of the people here that are more familiar with shoes have an answer for me? I have a pair in black patent Arizona style and they cut the tops of my feet to shreds so comfy they are not I have soft feet. And TTM Search is your friend. Topics merged by admin. Not sure about London, but I found the Birkenstocks are cheaper in the US than in Munich. But the styles are limited.
I dunno how people can wear sandals like those and flip-flops. I could never wear shoes that don't attach to my ankle - I would have to "think" about them not falling off all day long!

That is not so cheap. Nope, it isn't just you. My office full of IT geeks is full of them! They come into the office in 'normal' shoes and immediately put on their Birkies. If anyone had turned up in a posh version of a hawaian shirt, they'd have been fired, but its seemingly acceptable to roll up in your expensive flip flops?
In San Francisco I wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of Birkenstocks only because they are not cute. Since living here in Germany, I bought a pair and they are really comfortable. Still not so cute, but damn comfortable.

Everyone here seems to own a pair, especially people in the medical field. Every medical office or hospital I go to all the doctors, nurses, and dentists wear them. So I guess comfort rules over cuteness.

Happy Shopping Katrina PS Yes I know that this makes me even more German than you all thought already. Is it me or is it just US west coast hippies and webdesigners that wear these? Dont get me wrong- Im not passing judgement- but are they fashionable yet again?
